Alcalá de Henares is located in a geographically and culturally priviledged site, 25 km from Madrid and 15 km from Barajas airport. It was declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1998.
It is an essential centre in Spanish history and culture being Miguel de Cervantes´ birthplace and also thanks to the importance of its University.
Apart from the lively university life, Alcalá offers a cultural environment based around study, knowledge, Cervantes memorabilia and the presence of essential characters of universal culture.
Lingua centre in Alcalá de Henares is located in the old Colegio de San Patricio or “de los Irlandeses”, a building dating back to the 17th century, right in the centre of the town and part f the cultural heritage of it.

By taxi:
This is the fastest and most direct means of transport. You can take one from the airport. The cost is about 40 €
By train:
Trains arrive in Alcalá de Henares directly from Atocha station in Madrid. You can check the train timetable at www.renfe.es
“Alcalá de Henares” is the stop for the town of Alcalá, whereas “Alcalá- Universidad” is for the external campus where the university residence is located.
Once you have left the train station and you are in Paseo de la Estación, it is very easy to get to Lingua. Check it at http://maps.google.es/
By bus:
From the transport interchange of Avenida de América, Continental Auto buses leave frequently. Buses number 223 goes right to the centre of Alcalá de Henares, just five minutes from Lingua. Buses numbers 227 go directly to the University campus. To get to Lingua you may stop at Avenida Complutense, the centre is not very far from here. Check this at

Alcalá de Henares was declared World Heritage by UNESCO. In the town and around the city you can find important archaeological sites dating back to the Roman times and even more ancient ones. The town hosts several important buildings: The Rectorate of the University, Cervantes birthplace, the cathedral, the archbishop´s palace, etc.
